The deck model for nucleon diffraction dissociation at very high energies

Summary

We discuss an extended Deck model including absorption. A critical comparison with recent data on nucleon diffraction dissociation from the FNAL and the ISR at CERN is given. For some distributions we achieve an improvement over the simple Deck model, but some details of the data still remain to be understood.

Si discute un modello esteso di Deck che tien conto dell’assorbimento. Si fa un confronto critico con i dati recenti sulla dissociazione della diffrazione nucleonica dal FNAL e dall’ISR nel CERN.
