Shell model potentials for finite nuclei

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento A (1965-1970)

Summary

A method is outlined for the evaluation of shell model potentials from single-particle potentials calculated according to the stability prescriptions of even-even finite nuclei and to the saturation properties of the nuclear matter associated to each of them. The method is applied to a selected set of nuclei in the mass number interval ranging fromA=4 toA=238.
