Dual geometric-gauge-field aspects of gravity

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento B (1971-1996)

Summary

We propose the dualism of gravity that the geometric nature and the standard gauge field nature are considered dual aspects of gravity, both equally essential for a complete description of gravity, and may be reconciled. We show that the dualism of gravity resolves the dimensional Newtonian constant problem in both quantum gravity and unification involving gravity,i.e. the Newtonian constant is no longer the coupling constant in the gauge aspect of gravity and reveals the profound similarity between gravity and other fields.
