Electronic band structure for the polytypes ofGaSe

Summary

The band structures of the β- and ε-polytypes of GaSe have been calculated by the empirical pseudopotential method. Our results show that a detailed description of the experimentally observed dependence of the gap on the polytype is possible only within a self-consistent approach.

Si sono calcolate per mezzo del metodo dello pseudopotenziale empirico le strutture di banda dei politipi β e ε del GaSe. I nostri risultati mostrano che un’accurata descrizione della dipendenza del gap dal politipo, osservata sperimentalmente, è possibile solo entro un approccio autoconsistente.

С помощью эмпирического псевдопотенциального метода вычисляются структуры электронных зон β и ε «политипов» GaSe. Полученные нами результаты показывают, что подробное описание экспериментально обнаруженной зависимости щели от «политипа» оказывается возможным только в рамках самосогласованного подхода.
