Summary
The Racah 6-j coefficients exist free from the Wigner 3-j definition (in the following,n-j coefficients/symbols will be abridged inton-j). Nevertheless, the closed formula for the stretched 6-j has always been derived from formulae previously calculated for some special 3-j. Obtaining the result by a 6-j self-governing method is of conceptual importance: moreover, it can be done without calculation. An immediate consequence is Racah's general formula for any 6-j.
