Electrohydrodynamic Kelvin-Helmholtz instability conditions for two horizontal interfaces. Effect of a tangential field

Summary

The electrohydrodynamic Kelvin-Helmholtz instability conditions of two horizontal interfaces separating three dielectric streaming fluids stressed by a tangential electric field on the interfaces are investigated. The analysis will be based on the linear perturbation theory and Hurwitz’ theorem. The necessary and sufficient conditions of the perturbed system are discussed analytically.
