Gauge-invariant chiral Lagrangian and -p p annihilations

Summary

In this paper we investigate two-meson production processes in -p p annihilation at rest in a gauge-invariant, chiralSU 3×SU 3 symmetric Lagrangian model. The gauge field has been identified as the massive vector field which is decomposed into theρ octet and theρ′ octet. In this work bothS-wave andP-wave annihilations have been computed. Our result is compatible with the most recent experimental data. The possible contribution from higher integer spin dominance has also been discussed.
