Fixed-t dispersion relations for pion photoproduction in the second resonance region

Il Nuovo Cimento A (1965-1970)

Summary

Fixed-t dispersion relations are evaluated for π+ and π0 photoproduction in the second resonance region. Only resonances in the first, second and third resonance regions are included. The predictions are in approximate agreement with experiment. It is argued that a major part of the discrepancy will come from resonances in the fourth resonance region, rather than from Regge tails or nonresonant effects.
