Binding energy of a ∧-particle in nuclear matter

Summary

In this note the central-well depthD seen by a ∧ bound in a heavy hypernucleus is calculated with independent pair approximation for the ∧-core potential generated as a result of the interactions between the ∧ and the core nucleus. The simple model for the ∧-core potential is assumed here as a {ie273-1} potential folded into the nuclear-density distribution of Fermi shape, of which the {ie273-2} potential has been derived dynamically on the basis of a new model of hadrons. The possible existence of the three-body {ie273-3} force seems to have little contribution with respect to the twobody {ie273-4} force.
