Summary

A high-energy mass spectrometer based on the XTU Tandem accelerator of the Laboratori Nazionali di Legnaro is described. Preliminary measurements on standard samples with known10Be/9Be atom ratio show the capability of the system to measure natural concentrations of10Be for geological and cosmochronological studies. The modifications necessary to improve sensitivity and precision of the measurements are discussed.

Si descrive uno spettrometro di massa ad alte energie basato sul Tandem XTU dei Laboratori Nazionali di Legnaro. Misure preliminari su campioni standard con rapporto isotopico10Be/9Be noto dimostrano che questo sistema è adatto per misurare concentrazioni naturali di10Be in studi d’interesse della geologia e della cosmocronologia. Sono inoltre discusse le modifiche necessarie per migliorare la sensibilità e la precisione delle misure.

Описывается высоэнергетический массовый спектрометр с использованием XTU-тандем-ускорителя национальной лаборатории Леньяро. Предварительные измерения на стационарных образцах с известным отношением атомов10Be/9Be показывают возможность системы измерять естественные концентрации10Be при геологических и космологических исследованиях. Обсуждаются модификации, необходимые для улучшения чувствительности и точности измерений.
