Relativistic shocks in a gas of interacting particles and radiation

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento B (1971-1996)

Summary

Results are presented from a theoretical study of relativistic shocks in a medium consisting of a mixture of photons, electrons and protons. The photon-to-baryon ratio is taken as a free parameter. Planar flow is considered and self-gravity is neglected.
