Peter F. Drucker is the Clarke Professor of Social Science and Management at the Claremont Graduate School in California. Among his many books are Landmarks of Tomorrow, The New Society, Adventures of a Bystander,and The Concept of the Corporation,all available from Transaction. This article was originally published in April 1933 under the title Frieddrich Julius Stahl: Konservative Staats-Theorie und Geschichtliche Entwicklung.It was promptly banned by the Nazis. English translation by Martin Chalmers.
