E. L. Pattullo is retired from Harvard University, where he served as director of the Center for the Behavioral Sciences and senior lecturer on Psychology. Prior to that he was vice president of York University (Toronto). He has written extensively on ethical problems encountered in behavioral research.

Victor F. Morris is a Chartered Financial Analyst and an investment consultant. In World War II, as an intelligence specialist he participated in nine campaigns in North Africa, the Mediterranean, and Europe. Since retiring in 1985, he has been revisiting his wartime experiences as an amateur military historian.
