Optimizing thinking skills in failure analysis

Abstract

The last twenty years have seen much research on how to use both creative and critical/analytical thinking skills. Widespread use of this research has been slow to move to industry. This article shows how thinking skill improvement methods can be applied to a failure analysis by using case histories to illustrate the application (or lack) of thinking skills.
