Summary
Seventy angular distributions of the11B(p, α0)8Be reaction over a 12 MeV range were analyzed using a plane-wave direct reaction theory incorporating pick-up and exchange pick-up (or heavy-particle stripping) coherently mixed (PWBAE theory). The results of this analysis indicate that the reaction may proceed predominantly by a direct reaction mechanism.

Si sono analizzate settanta distribuzioni angolari della reazione11B(p, α0)8Be in un intervallo di 12 MeV usando una teoria delle reazioni dirette delle onde piane comprendente il pickup ed il pickup di scambio (svestimento delle particelle pesanti) congiunti in modo coerente (teoria PWBAE). I risultati di questa analisi indicano che la reazione può avvenire in modo predominante con un meccanismo di reazione diretta.
