Abstract
The kinetic equation describing the evolution of the distribution of a photon gas during the annihilation and production of electron-positron pairs is formulated in Part II of this work. The equation is written in the form of a radiation transfer equation with allowance for the possible degeneracy of the gases, and the absorption and emission coefficients are expressed in terms of the cross sections of the processes under consideration. The coefficients are averaged over directions when the particle distributions are Isotropic. Cases are considered in which the radiation field is isotropic or has a component proportional to the cosine of the angle with some direction. The spectrum of the emitted photons and their mean frequency and dispersion are calculated.
