Distribution of gamma-ray bursts over the celestial sphere

Abstract

The fractal dimensionality of the distribution of gamma-ray bursts over the celestial sphere has been investigated. Current data from the BATSE experiment were used. A value of D2 ≈ 2 is obtained, corresponding to a uniform spatial distribution of burst sources.
