Deuteron polarization and neutron form factors

Summary

The spin state of the deuteron following elastic scattering of electrons is studied in impulse approximation through the one-photon exchange. It is found that a measurement of the deuteron polarization in the final state can be used to evaluate the form factors of the neutron with some advantage. It is also shown that inclusion of theD-state of the deuteron does not substantially change our results.
