Abstract
We report a case of ocular metastasis which, on investigation, was found to proceed from a primary tumour of the lung. A 67 years old female was referred to us from the ophthalmology department. Following an ultrasound scan, she was provisionally diagnosed as having ocular metastasis. The occurrence of this case, and the literature review we undertook, indicate that cancer patients are not routinely examined for ophthalmology complications and, as such, the incidence of ocular metastases may be under-diagnosed. Hence, we have decided to instigate a prospective study to evaluate this situation.
