Elias S. Cohen is an attorney with the Public Interest Law Center of Philadelphia where he currently directs a project on Law, Aging, and Long-Term Care. He has spent most of his career as a professional administrator in state government. He has served as Pennsylvania’s Commissioner of Aging and Commissioner of Family Services, and Indiana’s Assistant Commissioner of Mental Health. Author of more than 50 articles, he is currently Editor-in-Chief of the Gerontologist.
