Jerome Lejeune is professor of fundamental genetics at the Faculte de Medecine Necker-Enfants Malades, chief of the Department of Cytogenetics at the Hospital des Enfants Malades, and director of the Institute de Progenese in Paris. He has received numerous awards for his work on human chromosomal diseases, including the Kennedy Award and the William Allan Memorial Award.
