His research focuses on the sociology of organizations, with special emphasis on military organizations, race and ethnicity, and the sociology of entrepreneurship. He has published widely in these areas, and has just completed a book-length manuscript entitled, The Sociology of Entrepreneurship: Race, Ethnicity, and Economics.
