Abstract

It is experimentally found that the region of the batch fluidized-bed is subdivided into a region of perfect mixing and that of segregation when the fine particles are elutriated from the bed. The resulting correlations obtained in the present study which take inlo account the effect of physical and hydrodynamic characteristics of the bed can be valuable one for the extension to the multi-particle, continuous real fluidization processes.
