David Pearl is Chief of the Behavioral Sciences Research Branch of the National Institute of Mental Health. He organized and directed the NIMH project assessing television’s behavioral influences and edited its two volume report, Television and Behavior: Ten Years of Scientific Progress and Implications for the Eighties. Volume 1contains bibliographic references for all studies discussed in this article.
