Markéta Luskačová was born in Prague, Czechoslovakia, and studied social science at Karlova University. Her photographs have been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art, the San Francisco Museum of Arts, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.

John Berger is an art critic and author. His many publications includeThe Success and Failure of Picasso, Ways of Seeing, Pig Earth, Permanent Red, andArt and Revolution.
