Ronald Kent Shelp is a corporate vice president and member of the Management Committee of Celanese Corporation. He has authored and coauthored a number of books, including some dealing with services: Beyond Industrialization: Ascendancy of the Global Service Economyand Service Industries and Economic Development.He served three terms as chairman of the U.S. Government Industry Sector Advisory Committee on Service Trade Policy and advised several presidential candidates on trade and economic matters.
