Wole Soyinka is an internationally acclaimed playwright, novelist, and critic and Nobel laureate for literature. He is professor of comparative literature at the University of Ife, Nigeria. His works, published in America, include Collected Plays; The Man Died: A memoir; Myth, Literature, and the African World;and a classic of African autobiography, Ake: The Years of Childhood.
