Stephen Sloan is on leave from the University of Oklahoma as a senior research fellow at the Center for Aerospace Doctrine, Research, and Education; Air University. He specializes in the study of terrorism, political violence, and the role of intelligence in meeting current and future terrorist actions. His three books include Simulating Terrorism.

He is the author of Capitalism and Catastropheand The Political Economy of Reaganomics: A Critique.

He is coauthor of Computers and Politics: High Technology in American Local Governmentsand coauthor of a Columbia University Press series on the social impact of computing and communications.

She is the author of Patriarchy and Socialist Revolution in Chinaand an editor of Feminist Studies.
