Mary L. Tenopyr is the selection and testing director in the corporate headquarters of AT&T. She received her doctorate in psychology under the tutelage of the late J.P. Guilford, a major researcher on creativity. Her work appeared in the March/April 1990 issue of Societyon “Race Norming.”

Claude E. Welch, Jr. is Distinguished Service Professor of Political Science at The State University of New York at Buffalo and editor of Armed Forces and Society.
