She has published extensively on the social psychology of problem solving and decision making, with recent focus on ethical problems and problem solving in behavioral research. She is a member of the State of California Committee for the Protection of Human Subjects and Senior Visiting Research Scholar at the Kennedy Institute of Ethics. Work on a model of ethical-problem solving in social science research, from which this article is derived, is supported by National Science Foundation Grant OSS78-17720.
