Chief of the Urban Development Division of the World Bank, Patricia Annez did her post-graduate work in economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. With the World Bank since 1983, she has worked in Bank operations on finance issues in South Asia, the Middle East, Latin America and Africa. She has also worked in the World Bank's Finance complex and was one of the core team members for the World Development Report on the Environment, which was published in 1992. Prior to joining the World Bank, she worked at the Brookings Institution.
