Irving Louis Horowitz is Hannah Arendt distinguished university professor of sociology and political science at Rutgers University. He has written widely on American politics and society, including an earlier published evaluation of Arthur Schlesinger’s Running for President: The Candidates and Their Images.
David F. Allen is lecturer in psychopathology at the University of Paris XIII. He is also a psychoanalyst, a member of the College Internationale de Psychanalyse & Anthropologie (Paris), a corresponding member of Évolution Psychiatrique (Paris), a member of the Société Internationale de l'Histoire de la Psychanalyse & la Psychiatrie(Paris).
Vladimir Tismaneanu is professor of politics at the University of Maryland (College Park) and the author of Fantasies of Salvation: Nationalism, Democracy and Myth in Post-Communist Europe.
