Abstract
The exact solution of equilibrium equations is found on the assumption that ribs are symmetrical about the middle plane of a plate and work in bending from this plane. The necessary and sufficient conditions of the applicability of the theory of structurally orthotropic shells to the solution of the problem are formulated.
