Črt Marinček, M.D., D. Sc., is Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Ljubljana, chairman of the Council for Rehabilitation of Slovenia, and medical director of Slovenia’s Institute for Rehabilitation which is a World Health Organization collaborating center for rehabilitation. He represents Slovenia on the Committee for the Rehabilitation and Integration of People with Disabilities in the Council of Europe. As program director of the Ljubljana Service for Technical Cooperation Support for Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons, he has organized United Nations training activities in the developing countries of Africa and Asia, mostly in the transfer of rehabilitation technology and the organization of rehabilitation services.
