Stephen B. Kaufman is the founder and vice chairman of HealthTech Services Corporation, the company formed to develop and market the HANC robot. He has more than a dozen medical patents to his credit and is responsible for developing over 50 manufacturing processes. Among his creations is the concept for the automated pharmacy system now widely used in hospitals. He has consulted for business and government entities in the United States, Australia, China, Japan and Mexico on health care innovation and technology.

Marilyn Van Ellin has worked in geriatric health care and assisted with the government grants for the further development of HANC.
