Abstract

Teaching, editing anthologies, and working with teachers and students as a visiting poet have taught the author important lessons about selecting poetry for children, eliciting their reactions, finding exciting new poems, and encouraging people to read poetry. He includes lists of suggested poetry books and magazines.
