Abstract

Chemical Abstracts, published by the American Chemical Society, has abstracted the world's published literature of chemistry and related disciplines since 1907. The increase in the content ofChemical Abstracts and the sources of the publications it has abstracted over the years reflected the growth and changing international patterns of research and development in chemical science and technology in the twentieth century.
