Abstract

A model of accelerated homogenization in powder mixtures is proposed. Calculations showed that homogenization can be accelerated 4–5 times by periodic or permanent intermixing. This result is important for mixtures of refractory metal powders in which the component particles can retain their identities for a long time, and very extensive annealing is reqired for complete homogenization.
