Abstract
Measurements have been made on the effects of sintering activators on the compaction of aluminum nitride. The relative density of the AIN-based material is substantially dependent on the form, amounts and ratios of the components. High densities occur in sintered materials that contain additives having cations large compared with Al 3+.
