Critical assessment and thermodynamic calculation of the binary system boron-tungsten (B-W)

  • Published:
Journal of Phase Equilibria

Abstract

The W-B system was assessed, and a set of parameter values describing the Gibbs energy of individual phases was optimized through the use of thermodynamic models. A thermodynamic description of the W1-xB3 phase is provided. The calculated phase diagram and the calculated thermodynamic parameters of the W-B system are presented and compared with the experimental information.
