Abstract
Omentopexy was performed in fifty patients with Buerger's disease who had undergone sympathectomy without relief or with recurrence of pain. Omentum was mobilized and lengthened by the technique of Alday and Goldsmith and brought ‘enbloc’ with its vascular supply upto the foot or wrist. Ninety six percent of limbs were saved from amputation. Follow up upto five years has been encouraging. Omentopexy is recommended as treatment of choice for Buerger's disease.
