Bloodless intrasegmental liver resection with the aid of the ultrasonic surgical knife

Summary

With the new ultrasonic knife, it is feasible to resect portions of the liver without injury to the blood vessels or to the bile ducts. After ligating these vessels, hepatic resections are performed without significant blood loss.

Zusammenfassung

Mit einem neuen Ultraschallmesser gelingt es, Leberparenchym ohne Verletzung der Gefäße und Gallenwege zu durchtrennen. Nach Abklippen der Gefäße sind Leberresektionen ohne größeren Blutverlust durchführbar.
