Abstract
The enthalpies of mixing of solid manganese with liquid copper and liquid tin have been measured calorimetrically at 1386 K. Correcting the results by means of the known enthalpy of fusion of γ manganese at this temperature one obtains the enthalpies of mixing of undercooled liquid manganese with copper and tin. These values are compared with thermodynamic data reported in the liaterature.
