Abstract

A new, very accurate method has been developed for the determination of liquidus temperatures by measuring the temperature at a stationary solid-liquid interface. Its application to alloys of antimony in tin is described. Values for the liquidus temperatures were obtained, which correspond well with data on the distribution coefficient.
