Abstract
Vinyl 5-(1,4,5,6,7,7-hexachloro-3-undecylbicyclo [2.2.1]-5-hepten-2-yl)-pentanoate [I] was prepared by the vinylation of the Diels-Alder adduct ofcis-6-octadecenoic (petroselinic) acid and hexachlorocyclopentadiene (HCCPD). The HCCPD adduct of methyl petroselinate was also prepared, and distilled.
