Summary

This paper is a translation of a summarizing report, which has been presented at the above mentioned Symposium, where the following four themes were discussed:

  1. 1.

    Fundamentals and in situ determination of permeability

  2. 2.

    Mechanical behaviour of fissured rock due to percolation; Man-made earthquakes

  3. 3.

    Water supply and water pollution

  4. 4.

    Influence of joint water on the stability of structures; drainage measures.

On the basis of the papers, discussions and general reports submitted to these themes, it is tried to point out the state of the art in the field of percolation through fissured rock as well as the progress achieved by the Symposium and the problems, which require future research.

  1. 1.

    Fondements théoriques et détermination in situ de la perméabilité des roches;

  2. 2.

    Comportement mécanique des roches fissurées vis-à-vis des phénomènes d’éculement; séismes artificiels

  3. 3.

    Captage et pollution des eaux;

  4. 4.
