Lespedeza seed oil

Summary

Lespedeza seéd oil has been isolated by extraction of the pulverized seed with diethyl ether, petroleum ether, hexane, and tetrachloroethylene in 11.1–11.7% yield. The crude oil has been characterized by a number of standard tests. Its outstanding properties are its iodine number of 147 and its ability to dry.
