CarcinomaIn Situ of the anal canal

Report of a case

  • Published:
Diseases of the Colon & Rectum

Summary and Conclusions

A case of carcinomain situ of the anal canal, originating from an anal ulcer, is reported.

Carcinomain situ of the anal canal, as well as invasive carcinoma, may have its origin in benign anorectal lesions.

A thorough surgical procedure for removal of the apparently benign anal lesion will cure the carcinomain situ.
