Abstract
During earlier sessions of this conference it was observed that the incidence of breast cancer has, in the past, been lower in Japan than in the West, and in addition, the average survival of Japanese women with breast cancer, especially postmenopausal women, has been longer. In this session, the possibility that these observed differences in survival were due to differences in treatment or in response to treatment was discussed.
