• 1. At present the nomenclature and amount of spare parts among instruments’ accessories is determined without taking into consideration the statistical information on the maintenance and technical servicing of instruments.

• 2. The provision of instruments with a technically and economically substantiated range and amount of spare parts facilitates their technical servicing in the course of their maintenance.

• 3. The technique for determining the range and amount of spare parts must be based on a preliminary evaluation of several factors effective in the course of the instruments’ technical servicing.

• 4. The evaluation of the range and amount of spare parts among an instrument’s accessories should be made with the duration of the maintenance period taken into consideration.
